He worked as a salesman in a number of companies and in 1968 he became the vice president and training director for the Automotive Performance company and was moved to Dallas, Texas. In the 2000s Ziglar was still traveling and taking part in motivational seminars, despite a fall down a flight of stairs in 2007, which left him with short-term memory problems. Ziglar died on November 28, 2012 in Plano, Texas at the age of 86.
