Joel Segal earned his law degree from Hofstra Law School. He began working as a sports agent and contract advisor in private practice, and then went on to join Worldwide Football Management, Inc. He became President in 1997. He is now President of BEST Football, and Lagedere Unlimited. He is regularly ranked as one of the Top Ten most powerful sports agents in the world, and is one of only two agents to have represented more than one first round draft pick for seven consecutive seasons. Some of his high profile clients include Will Smith, Levi Brown, DeAngelo Hall, and Reggie Bush. He also shepherded his client, Michael Vick, through his dog fighting scandal, and subsequent signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. He represents approximately 50 players, and regularly negotiates a total of $250 million contracts for his clients.
