She gave birth to two wonderful daughters, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna, both former actresses. After she raised her daughters and ended her unhappy marriage to Khanna in 1984, Kapadia returned to her first love, i.e., acting. She made her big screen comeback with the 1985 movie “Saagar”, which turned out to be success. Ever since, Dimple Kapadia kept on being a dominant personality in Bollywood throughout the late 80s and the early 90s. To date, it is her role in “Rudaali” (1993) that is regarded to be her best performance. It even earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress and a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Also, Dimple Kapadia starred in an English language movie “Being Cyprus” in 2006.
