He later competed in TNA wrestling and on the independent circuit. Gunn started competing for New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2016. He won six WWE Tag Team Championships with Road Dogg, three with Bart Gunn, and two with Chuck. Gunn also held the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Hardcore Championship twice and won the King of the Ring in 1999. He appeared in the films The Other Guys and Double Fury and in an episode of the TV series Sabrina The Teenage Witch.
